~ The played group drama under the artificial lights ~
Here, it is the mysterious space. Many museums and galleries are usually white cube (room) and this place is completely opposite. Spotlights array around the high ceiling painted in black like a TV studio and the side wall is painted with dark gray. The place is built for multipurpose use such as play, music concert, and other performance.
My work which takes a part of drama, calmly fits into the scene and is asked to play a character. The work with sound has become independent in open space for the first time.

The independent room was made in a corner of the citizen's gallery of the Kawagoe art museum. Although the room is small and square about 64 sq. ft., the ceiling is height enough.
The place I wanted to create in the room is where visitors could feel the sound like heartbeat hearing slightly, softly, and subtly. Visitors who could find the entrance slit, would have been able to find own image and color.

The town of Ho Chi Minh that came after an interval of seven years is stimulating as ever. The peddler of sunglasses, lighters, dried squids, from fans to wallets, fruits, snacks call out and not only the things but also a massage, a motorcycle taxi, and the driver of a cyclo calls out. Nowadays brand new cars increase and a lot of luxury cars run on the street and the motorcycles increase, too. If a top is looked up at, there will be construction rushes of a skyscraper. A motorcycle and an alarm whistle sounds do not get used from my ears all day long.
The most stimulating thing for me at this time is an exhibition itself held in fine arts museum which charged admission fee. The young Vietnamese, the Europeans and Americans with a guide book in hand addressed me to talk about after looking at the "Color Chart." This "color chart" seems to have stimulated myself.

The Affandi Museum which is located in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, gives off conspicuousness among fine arts museums and big galleries over there. I’ve visited there including for preliminary inspection twice before and could visualize an installation for this exhibition in June.
However, all of import and displaying the installation of mine were entrusted because I couldn’t be there at the exhibition. How the installation entrusted to one of my friends would be positioned in myself. The installation which I knew only with pictures, seems to shake coldly in my soul.

Art Under the Volcano: The 6th an International Art Symposium
When I arrived at the location of an art exhibition, my anxiety became reality. It is a resort hotel which is similar to a resort hotel in Okinawa.
I was relieved after a permission to use a local house for my art work was given. The local house hasn't been developed as a resort hotel and it is a great opportunity to encounter the house. Because this place doesn't only have feeling of Okinawa but also feeling of Indonesia certainly.
This place is a cluttered storeroom with tin roof. The intense rain hits the tin roof and a strong wind blows through.
The strength and weakness of the sunlight, the wind, and the rain became the sample of Color Chart this time.

There is the open space (20m × 20m sq.) with a stone floor in the elementary school building and the space spreads out to a ceiling of approximately 12m height (three stories). An exhibition which would be held two weeks later, was requested by phone after I came back from Indonesia.
I went to the meeting with the intention of declining the request, however; the open space with the three stories height made me to express the colors of Indonesia.
Because the open space reminds me of the height of palm trees in Indonesia.
This place turned out Indonesia.

The town of Paraza is so beautiful because of the combination of the colors between water and trees, a wall and a door, a roof and flowers. The color harmonizes with the other exquisitely.
Paraza where remains atmosphere at the time of color seekers came, is a old town but a new town at the same time.
There are seventeen different nationalities living in this town (a few hundreds of residents) that shows the fascination and novelty of the town.
A piece of mine indicates the nature and architectures I found in Paraza as colors. I tried to present my piece (work) as a color sample within a short time and little sphere. I would be glad if I could express the beautiful spirits of residents in Paraza.

I take a walk with a dog as always. Many kinds of trees are planted by the paths on both banks of the Shakujii river.
The dog put her head down for sniffing. My eyes were caught by the color of early winter leaves on the ground. I picked up leaves and the colors of leaves were printed on my eyes.
Winter colors were reflected on the white wall of housing.
Here is Tokyo. This piece of work left for Italy.

Color Chart

Yoshiki Takata plans making color charts of himself!
He doesn't express the color specification system as Color Chart when he meets colors. He created the splinter of the psychophysical quantity in which the body was passed as "Color Chart."
